Four hundred guests, an open December lawn, and a single brief: nobody should want to leave early. We answered with candle-height light, wool-draped seating and a mandap that glowed like a hearth. The last guests left with the caterers.

A yes, under one string of mogra
An engagement for sixty, designed around a single scent. Mogra at the gate, mogra at the table, one perfect string above the couple — so that years from now, the smell of jasmine brings the whole evening back.

Twenty-five years, one long table
A silver anniversary that refused a stage. One forty-foot table, the family's own brass polished and returned to duty, and light kept low enough for every toast to feel like a secret being shared.

A first birthday, drawn in clouds
The brief came from the grandmother: gentle, not loud. A daytime celebration in ivory and butter-yellow, clouds of gypsophila at child height, and one quiet corner where the elders could hold court with the guest of honour.

The evening a house became a home
A housewarming built around the threshold: marigold and mango leaf done properly, a lamp-lit walk through every room, and dinner served in the empty living room on floor seating — the first meal the walls ever heard.

A product launch for three hundred, designed like cinema instead of a conference — a dark room, a single reveal, and light that found faces rather than banners. The applause was not on the run-sheet.

The family wanted the wedding week to begin where their story did — the ancestral courtyard. We cleaned, strung, and lit what was already there. Sometimes design is knowing what not to add.

Nine hundred employees, one instruction from the founder: no lanyards. Long shared tables, warm light, and a fifteen-minute film of faces from the shop floor. The quietest annual day the company ever had — and the one they still mention.

A sangeet under a borrowed sky
Rain threatened all week, so we built the sky ourselves — a canopy of two thousand warm bulbs over the dance floor. It drizzled at ten. Nobody noticed until the last song ended.
